How I Balance My Personal and Professional Life as a Single Mom

Every morning at 6:30 am, I open my eyes to the sound of responsibility and love. My first thought is always about my daughter—getting her ready for school, preparing her lunch, and sending her off with prayers.

By 11:00 am, I get ready for my clinic. Being a sonologist is not just my profession—it’s my passion. But it also means long hours and energy that I have to balance with motherhood. When I return home at 1:30 pm, my daughter is also back from school. That moment of reunion—changing clothes, offering prayers, sharing lunch, and talking about her day—fills my heart with peace.

By 4:00 pm, she rests while I leave for my evening clinic. It’s always hard to leave her, but she understands my work. She wakes up around 8:00 pm, attends her Quran class, and waits for me. When I return at 10:00 pm, her little smile washes away all my tiredness. We eat dinner together, I help her with homework, and then we both offer prayers. By 1:00 am, our day finally ends.

Being a single mom is not easy—but when I see my daughter growing with values, strength, and love, I know every sacrifice is worth it. With the support of my family, I keep moving forward, one day at a time
